Ayatana is the result of the joyful synergy between Art2Day, Pune’s first dedicated art gallery and Artz360, an innovative art event company.... 

Born of passion and experience, and imbued with the spirit of nurturing a sense of adventure creativity and learning,  Ayatana now brings to Pune, an airy and spacious gallery with multiple display areas, a sculpture garden, workshop areas and a private viewing space.

With almost 10 years of solid ground breaking experience under their belt,  Art2Day, Pune’s first dedicated art gallery is undoubtedly a force to reckon with. A decade of patient and painstaking networking with Artists and connoisseurs, art lovers and collectors, as well as corporate buyers and hobbyists has yielded the gallery a rich canvass of possibilities for future landmark events on the Pune art scene.

Synergising with this already formidable team, is Art360, an innovative event company that collaborates with artists, sculptors, musicians, dancers and writers, bringing in a flair for providing an artistic platform that is interactive and engaging.

Ayatana is the new venue where this new energy of two entities will operate from…

The word AYATANA (pronounced: aa-ya-tun) is from ancient Pali (Buddhist philosophical texts) and denotes a 'Sense Sphere' that comprises of 6 PORTALS (eyes, ears, skin, nose tongue and mind) and their 6 related DOMAINS (visible objects, sound, touch, taste, odour and mental precepts). While western philosophy/science recognises 5 sense organs, Buddhist texts indicate that any experience can be considered complete only once it has reflected upon by the individual through all the layers of emotional or intellectual awareness or conditioning.

This is what Ayatana offers:                  

Sculpture Garden:  A beautiful space, shaded by trees and screened by a bamboo enclosure, the sculpture garden offers outdoor a wonderful  interactive space for Show opening events as well as for displaying medium to large size sculptures.

Gallery : With all the character and appeal of a colonial residence retained, the main display/exhibition area with its arched niches and doorways offers a cool, quiet and charming space in which to look at and experience the art. Slide shows, presentations, screenings and small live music and art events would be perfect in this space in adjunct to the art shows and exhibitions. The gallery opens into smaller more intimate space, bright and airy, which is perfect for smaller, more individual shows. It is also the perfect place for workshops and interactive sessions for about 25 to 35 people.
