Art2Day

If Ayatana is an unique vehicle of ideas and activities and opportunities  then Art2Day is the engine that drives this vehicle...!

Comprising of the husband-wife team of Priya and Sanjeev Pawar, both alumna's of the Abhinava Kala Mahavidyalaya in Pune, Art2Day is easily Pune's most  committed and promising art gallery. Sanjeev and Priya, have been responsible for launching many young artists, giving them a guided platform to showcase their work to discerning art lovers. Mumbai has always been a preferred destination for the more ambitious, but Art2Day has been equally tireless in their efforts to bring forward several senior artists from Pune, providing them with a suitable infra-structure to hold shows within the city itself  .

With over 300 exhibitions featuring 400 plus artists in Solo & Group Shows, which includes an equal participation of folk, and tribal artists  to their credit, they have, over the seven short years of their existence a created a wide network of art lovers, hobbyists, buyers and collectors.

Apart from their compact gallery (Art2Day, Tilak Road) in the heart of the city, they are also the only 'art house presence' in a swanky 5-star hotel property, with a beautiful gallery space at the Hyatt Regency on Nagar Road. The Hyatt Regency has the singular advantage of being the only hotel property that combines Convention Centre, Serviced Residences as well as regular Hotel units in one location.

Apart from excellent facilities to showcase the artists’ work, the gallery provides a stimulus to aspiring artists (age no bar!) with regular art & craft workshops, seminars, demonstrations of various mediums and styles - watercolor, oil, pencil sketching, Folk art like terracotta, Pata Paintings Warli paintings, to mention a few. They have been actively involved with and collaborated with Art Colleges in the region. They have to their credit the successful  'Young Artist Camp' of National & State level artists, an event they hope to execute every year. In 2009  Art2Day convened Pune’s first & biggest Art Expo – “The Surabhi Nag Pune Art Festival”. In October 2010 they were part of the prestigious National Painter’s Camp, organized in Pune by Lalit Kala Academy.
